The Skeleton

 The Skeleton

Did you know that the skeleton holds more than 206 bones. And all those bones all play an important role in the body. Making sure that the body functions properly. If a bone is broken all bones around can’t perform their role.

DId you know that when babies are born they are born with 300 bones and older people

Or kids have 206 bones! How is this possible? This is because when you start to get older your bones start to grow together to become more stronger.

Do you know where the smallest bone in your body is?....

The ear 5mm it is located in your ear right in the middle and has another name which

Is called stirrup because it looks like a Y shape.

Did you know that bones are designed to take a beating! We would properly think that it’s post to keep your body stable but nope! Just imagine what your skeleton goes through?

Do you know what your bones are filled with…

Bones are in fact filled with a spongy tissue. It locate mostly in the bigger bones

In your body like your hips and pelvis.

When you broken a bone and you get a cast you would think that the cast heals

Your bones right. But no your bone are the things that heals your bones

And once there broken you bones go straight to working to heal your bone.

Human bones grow continually from birth till our mid 20s. Our skeleton's bone mass is at its maximum growth around the age of 30.

environmentally planting

Today we were planting at Lake Gem our guide Karen was showing us the plants that we would be planting. But when we got there the plants were already laid when we got there. We were planting               Manuka,Kanuka,Karaka and heaps of others it was fun helping the environment but we had to make sure that we didn't step on any of the plants. There was also a huge tree stump that the class got on to take a photo of us all.

We also had some parents helping with the planting just encase it would take to long but it ended up quit quick I was surprised because there quit a lot of trees to do and there was more than one box of plants!

There was also another place that we were planting it was on the other side and we ended up get a photo with the yellow truck that was bringing in plants to be planted .

As you can see that there were some people on the stump in the background and some on the back of the truck. It was really a fun thing to do then we had lunch next to the lake. I would love to go there again to do some more planting.
